We had the opportunity this weekend to attend a birthday party and check out the new Club Creative in Coventry Rhode Island which is owned by the owners of Creative Child Inc Daycare. Rhode Island is small and at the time, I find lacking things to do, especially for birthday parties. I feel a lot of times it’s the same old birthday parties at the same places and it gets boring after awhile! So my kids were very excited to check out this new hot spot that I swear we drive by at least 50 times a week…and I have never checked into it…I’m a typical Rhode Islander at heart! I’m big on supporting local and especially local businesses in town as I once had a business right down the street from Club Creative and I know how hard it is to survive as a small business!
We walked in and the party room (which also during the week turns into a full-day kindergarten program) was so bright and inviting. Tons of space to hold an event or party, and they even allowed my friend to bring in her own decorations and decorate the theme of her child’s party with her own supplies, which is nice for us crafty moms! The do have packages that include decorations if you want to go with that option as well, which is great as well. My kids instantly ran outside as they heard what was through the doors, and I had heard about the playground in the back from another friend but really you have to see it for yourself…IT’S AMAZING! I was lucky enough to speak to the owners daughter Jessica who runs the Club Creative and the parties and events, and she was just so warm and welcoming. She even saw my son having a breakdown about the older kids not giving him a turn on the zip line and took him back outside to make sure he felt special and left happy! The staff, in general, was so involved in the party, it was really nice to see that for a change, most places with kids parties have teenagers running the show and they are bothered by the kids running around …not this place!
Another thing I loved was that over 90% of the playground in the back is built using recycled material, and natural wood which we all know that I love things like that! The playground is big enough to keep kids entertained for hours, but contained with a fence and easy viewing area’s for parent’s that you can kind of just let them run and play without any worrying, again this was another plus for me. The other thing that was nice was every component of the playground was for different ages, so you could have a toddler playing on something that a ten-year-old would still find cool to go on as well, great for a family with children in different age groups.
The other great thing is it’s not just a place for birthday parties, they also have the event’s regularly like Paint and Cookies and Paint and Vino for adult’s regularly. All very affordable to may I add, and you can get all that information on their website as well and also check them out on Facebook! My kids had a blast and were exhausted after this fun-filled birthday party and getting some much needed fresh air!
